Loverboy (Not such a Lover!)

So Loverboy was neutered yesterday. Poor boy! But doesn't he look cute in his cone!

Father's Day!!!

The girls wanted Dad to have breakfast in bed on his special day. I think they did a great job! Pay particular attention to the apple in the middle of the plate. Does it remind you of anyone? Perhaps a certain handsome father with dark curly hair? And luscious lips? And chiseled features? (Okay--I gave it away with that one!) An apt likeness, as he is also great to the core! What's that old saying, "An apple a day..." We are so lucky to have this apple every day of our lives!! He's the 'apple' of our eyes! I'll stop now! ;)

Ava and Isabelle proudly presenting Dad his breakfast. I think they got that whole breakfast in bed thing a little confused though. Isn't Dad supposed to be the one in the bed?!

What lucky girls!! I think I see an 'apple'ing resemblance!

Daddy is ready to hit the town!

Saturday afternoon, after all the chores were done, Beau laid down for a well deserved nap. The girls and I were giving ourselves facials and manicures and decided daddy needed in on the fun. After quietly asking him if it would be alright (we interpreted his silence as a shy yes!), we set to work. And I must admit, his cuticles have never looked so good! (In case you're wondering, yes, his nails have been freshly buffed in this photo!) We've omitted the pics of his facial in order for him to maintain his manliness, but if you get a chance, check out his pores!

Ava is ready for church, but I think she forgot something! Hmm, I wonder what it could be!

Sunday morning Ava came to me crying sporting this shiner. I still have no idea what happened! (I'm thinking mother of the year award for me--you think!)

Student of the Year!

Isabelle was Student of the Month for the month of January for her class. At the end of the year, one student from each grade was selected for Student of the Year. And, you guessed it, Isabelle was the first grade student of the year! We are so proud of her! Here you see her receiving her award at the end of year assembly.
