Ragnar 2012

I had the chance to participate in Ragnar this weekend. I had been wanting to do it for a couple of years, so when Alyson and Nicole invited me to join their team I jumped on it! I almost thwarted my opportunity when I dropped a can of corn on my foot putting groceries away a few weeks before the race. But, when life gives you corn...I make cornbread? Yeah...I'll go with that, cause there certainly wasn't any lemonade involved! But, I made it, and it was an awesome experience. The ladies on our team were amazing and so much fun!
All ready to start!

We had our own mascot even!

The starting line.

The first leg was particularly demanding--so we called in Big Earl! Check out that form!

Like I said, it was a demanding one!

Our team support was given in style!

Water is for....US! (Especially if it is Nicole's 'special' water!!)

I must have poked Tausha putting her number on...she was so good not to say anything!

And she's off!

Heading back to the van after an exchange point.

Annie's running was so delicate she was named Prancer--maybe the key lies somewhere in her playlist. I somehow never got a running shot!

Self proclaimed #2 (okay, her shirt deemed her as such)was a #1 here!

Nothing quite like reaching an exchange point! This one Alisa was particularly grateful for I think!

Trying to get a shot of Tausha.

Finally got it! Too bad she wasn't just getting done with one of her legs--she wears sweat well! :)

Thank goodness for snuggies and slankets!

Finish line.

Taking pride in my accomplishment!

Finally done--A little Jamba Juice helps make everything better!

But a seat was even better!

Van 1 Team shot. These ladies were so much fun! Running 200 miles never looked so good, don't you think?!

Finally heading home.

Sporting my medal!

Valentine's Day

Isabelle and Ava made the entire candlelight dinner on Valentine's day! They did a great job!

Isabelle received a 'special' valentine from a certain someone! A flower made from his hand print, a box of chocolates, and a homemade card! So cute!

Daddy Daughter Dance

They had so much fun on their date(s)!

Little boys are cute!

I've always known little girls are cute...but, dang! Little boys are just as cute!

Tommy loves his cars! They go everywhere with him! Nap time...bath time...out the door to help take care of the yard with daddy too!

Grandma Butterfield

My husband's maternal grandmother passed away last month. We went to Provo for the funeral. She lived there while we went to the Y as young newlyweds, and I had the chance to get to know her. She was very generous and sweet. We love grandma great Butterfield!

Teeth

Ava lost her second front tooth (with the help of aunt Mookie's dog Charlie), and is now sporting a gap smile!

She also had some dental work done--two baby root canals and two cavities! (NOT cool! We have now extended Isabelle's no sugar diet to Ava as well!) But, her smile sure is funny! And, so was she...driving back from the dentist it was apparent the medicine hadn't worn off yet because from the back seat I hear her say to me, (in a slurred, drunken, matter-of-fact voice)"If there was a teeny tiny person living in my mouth, they would so totally be drowning right now."

While this shot has nothing to do with teeth, I just thought it was funny that two girls would spend 15 minutes primping to go play in the back yard to do THIS!

Isabelle is 11!

This was the big year folks! The year she was able to pierce her ears!

Girls Favorite Christmas Gift

Scrapbook Stuff!!

And what is better than scrapbooking?
Scrapbooking in a tent to the light of a lantern, of course!
