Happy Birthday Ava!

Ava turned four!! To celebrate she had her very first 'friend' party. We had a Dora the Explorer theme. 'Map' showed the kiddos the way to the treasure (a Dora pinata). Too cool! We had the party at the park so all the kids could play, but after about ten minutes of playing on the playground, they all gradually found their way back under the covering! They were too hot to play!! So we played duck, duck, goose, and ring around the rosies instead.

The birthday girl. (I don't think she can smile at a camera without striking a pose.)

Here she is breaking in some of her gifts!

Sharks!!

The second grade put on a fun performance at Isabelle's school. Can you guess what she was?! (In case you need a hint-it was an underwater theme. Think hard!)
So, I made sure there was room on my camera before we went to the performance and deleted everything so I wouldn't have the problems of last time, but once there found out the battery was almost dead!! I can't win! Luckily I got most of her scene before it died! (Sad, I really thought I was prepared this go round!)

Mother's Day

After breakfast in bed in the morning, I was crowned the queen and presented with a royal proclamation that evening! It was great not having to cook all day--and ate like a queen. Anyone who knows me, knows this is what I really want!

The kids got the crowns in primary to give to their mothers, and Belle wouldn't rest until I had it (on!). (She took about four pictures before she got this one without cutting off the crown, or my head!! We're not in France kid!)

I was inundated with cards. Some I received when I went to Isabelle's school mother's day tea party (it was awesome!!), and then received more hourly throughout the day on mother's day! This is just a sampling of the variety of cards!

Piano Recital

Isabelle had her piano recital last week ago Friday. She was fabulous! She played 'Over the Rainbow' and 'Concert Sonatina.'
Here she is with all of the other students.

The program.

They performed in the chapel of the church, so we couldn't video tape. Never fear, she gave us a performance at home! (Ava gave a fab performance as well!)
