Mission Revival

I have to preface these pictures with a little story. About three and half weeks ago we got a letter in the mail from someone we didn't know from the area my husband served his mission. Basically, it was from a man who was in a ward with a family that Elder Hunsaker knew and taught from his mission. The father of that family was now ready to be baptized, but wanted Hunsaker to baptize him, and would Hunsaker be able to come and baptize him. Short long story even shorter--we went up last weekend where Elder Hunsaker was able to baptize Jose Luis! Talk about not knowing what fruits the seeds you sow will bear!!
Jose Luis and wife Mari with Hunsaker(that is what everyone there called him!)

Jose and Mari

Ready to go.

I got a kick out of this for some reason. He was like a little kid, right down to his toes poking out of his pants!

Ten years in the making, now it's time!

I loved this shot (thanks for pointing it out Vidi!).

The fam--Yotzin, Vidi, Aurea, Jose, Mari, Hunsaker, Mel

The whole fam--I was so impressed with this family! They are so tight knit, and were so willing to welcome us in (even ten years later!).

Lately...

Check out these awesome scooter tricks!!

This has been Ava's daily ensemble for the past few weeks. Not sure how she put it together, but she looks cool!! (Especially the one arm Michael Jackson thing going on!) What, a girl can't hope for a little fairy princess dance in the snow!?!

Baptism Day!

Yesterday was the big day! Isabelle was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by her dad. It was very special! Both sets of grandparents were there (unfortunately I didn't keep my camera ready to get shots of everyone), as well as Aimee and Alexa, Jen and Abbey, Steve, Brad, and her friend Savannah and her mom.

Grandma, Mom, and Daughters

Looking beautiful.

Daddy daughter time!

Ready to go!

Hurray!!

Two other kids from the ward were baptized with her, and one was done in spanish (very cool!). She is such a special girl and we are so glad to have her great example in our family!

Arizona is growing on me

Then agian...what is that saying of mission presidents telling their missionaries--fried ice cream seems like the best possible ice cream imaginable right now....

Just kidding! Arizona really is beautiful--and it is so unique and different!
