This kid loves letters and numbers!! His favorite thing is working in his workbook.

Although, lately, he has taken to 'practicing' his penmanship in various other places! I'm not sure if I should be proud that he is teaching himself how to write, or upset that he practices on my tile!!!

First lime from our tree!

Reading scriptures this am before school: 3 Ne ch 3--Giddianhi sends an epistle to Lachoneus telling the Nephites to surrender or die (basically), and the Nephites gather to Bountiful to prepare for war. (No actual battle--they are just getting ready.) Ava--on the edge of her seat, "Can you believe that Giddianhi...what, why are you stopping?! Me--"That's the end of the chapter, we'll find out what happens tomorrow." Ava--"No WAY! You can't leave me hanging like that!?!"...Guess we'll read another chapter then!

My kids REALLY want a pet!

This lucky lizard was fortunate enough to have gotten trapped between our window and screen and therefore become pet for a day!

We did a little research to find out what kind of lizard it is (common AZ lizard btw) :) and found out it is a girl. Common AZ female lizards have a patch of orange on their throats (the males have blue on their legs), as well as a diamond pattern down their back--she was known as 'diamond' for the day. :)

Desk re-do

I've been saying I want to give Tom's desk a facelift for a while (a LONG while)...and I finally got around to it!! It needed it pretty bad!

Amazing what a coat of stain and new hardware can do!

Jola's Baby Shower

Marcia(Guest) and I visit teach Jola and got to throw her a shower with Laura(Shamblin). It was at my place and sooo cute (most of which cuteness I cannot claim!). Jola is such a cute prego lady!!
