Reading scriptures this am before school: 3 Ne ch 3--Giddianhi sends an epistle to Lachoneus telling the Nephites to surrender or die (basically), and the Nephites gather to Bountiful to prepare for war. (No actual battle--they are just getting ready.) Ava--on the edge of her seat, "Can you believe that Giddianhi...what, why are you stopping?! Me--"That's the end of the chapter, we'll find out what happens tomorrow." Ava--"No WAY! You can't leave me hanging like that!?!"...Guess we'll read another chapter then!

My kids have been doing the same thing lately! :) We read right before bed, so when they want to read more after I'm ready to stop they open their eyes reeeaaaallly wide and say, "I'm not tired - see?" It's so fun to see them at least understanding "scripture language" enough to be able to get the story.
That has to be the coolest thing to hear a child say!
