Tommy got a week reprieve from his helmet so a sore on the back of his head could heal, and he looks so different without his 'hat' it reminded me of Tim McGraw. Tommy just didn't look like Tommy, but adorable just the same!
Belle had a star themed birthday party. We started with games, for each starlet to earn her sunglasses, boa, headband, make-up (accessories)! Then Aunt Suzi came and gave each girl a makeover. They put their handprints in clay just like on Hollywood Blvd, and then glammed them up with jewels. We ate star cake and root beer floats, broke the star pinata, and then danced the rest of the afternoon away! (Tommy really got into the dancing!)
Girl hair cut night! Belle actually got quite a bit taken off--her curls are so much curlier! Ava wanted her hair to look like her aunt Suzi, and Rapunzel (a la Tangled). Before the big cut. And the finished product! I think they both look fabulous!
Belle's birthday was the other day as well. Her party is coming up and this is the pic we used on her invitation to invite her friends to the 'star' party! She's giving autographs!
And dad's birthday just wouldn't be complete without the 'dad' breakfast! (I think we're getting closer to really capturing him!) Ava and Belle modeling dad's new BYU blanket grandma made him for his birthday.
Or as close as it gets around here! We woke up to frost outside one morning over the break, and my kids were so excited to have a real 'snow day.' I didn't have the heart to let them in on the fact that they were already out of school. But, we had fun on our snow day watching movies and drinking hot chocolate!
